Once you've selected a parcel, complete the rental using the provided rental box or payment system. After your payment is confirmed, the land will automatically be assigned to your avatar, allowing you to begin building immediately. Depending on the region and parcel type, activation is usually completed within minutes. Most rentals become active within a few minutes after successful payment. During busy periods or scheduled maintenance, activation may take slightly longer, but our team closely monitors all new rentals to ensure they are completed as quickly as possible. If your land has not activated within a reasonable time, please contact our support team and we will investigate immediately.

Yes. As your needs change, you can move to a larger parcel, downsize your land, or relocate to another region, subject to availability. Whether you're expanding a business, hosting larger events, or simply need more prim capacity, our team will help make the transition with minimal disruption.

When a rental expires, the parcel enters a grace period before becoming available to the public again. During this time, you can renew your rental and regain full access. If the parcel is not renewed before the grace period ends, it may become available for new residents. We always recommend renewing before the expiration date to avoid interruptions.

Depending on the parcel and rental agreement, transfers may be possible. If you need to transfer ownership to another avatar, please contact our support team and we will guide you through the available options.

A Second Life Estate is a privately managed virtual region that offers greater flexibility than Mainland. Estate owners can manage access, customize land settings, define parcel permissions, and create unique environments for residents, businesses, communities, and events. Private Estates are often preferred because they provide greater control, better organization, and a premium living experience.

Mainland is managed directly by Linden Lab and follows standard public region rules. Private Estates are independently managed, allowing estate owners to offer customized environments, additional management tools, unique themes, and dedicated customer support. Many residents choose Private Estates because of the stronger community atmosphere and increased flexibility.

We do not offer refunds for completed rentals. However, if you need to take a break from Second Life, you can request to freeze your subscription.
